The average blocking rate in the second half of 2022 was 97.7%, up 0.8%p compared to the first half of 2022.

* It measures the blocking rate by sending 200 test texts once a month using illegal spam messages reported and received to KISA.

The KCC said, "As a result of expanding spam filtering and strengthening restrictions on the illegal spam senders through the ?Voice Phishing Measures in the Communication Sector (22.9.29)? and "Illegal Spam impersonating Banks Distribution Prevention Measures (21.10.28), overall spam reduced."

It added, "However, the amount of spam through mass text messaging is still high, so we plan to strengthen our response to the mass text messaging this year. We will continue to make additional efforts to protect the people from illegal spam."
