On February 13, the Korea Communications Commission (KCC, Chairman Lee Hyo-seong) released the three-year, policy direction titled, “Comprehensive Plan for Telecommunications Users Protection.” The comprehensive plan takes a mid-to-long term approach to developments in technology and services, legal framework, and changes in the ICT environment. It represents a response to the fourth industrial revolution and intelligent information society which calls for new rules and systems for consumers. The KCC will pursue organizational changes, improve its investigatory expertise and enhance its overall capacity for user protection in line with the fourth industrial revolution. |
