The event will be participated by broadcast production professionals from Taiwan, Vietnam, UK, and Japan. The KCC will actively support the entry of local broadcast content into global markets including distribution and co-productions.
The Korea Communications Commission (KCC, Acting Chairperson Kim Tae-kyu) hosted the 3rd Local Broadcast Content Exchanges & Cooperation event on November 6, Wednesday at Golden Seoul Hotel. This event aimed to promote the entry of local broadcast content into global markets.
This event was prepared to support distribution of outstanding programs produced by local broadcasters to global markets and collaboration for co-productions between local and foreign broadcasters. This event was attended by 20 local broadcasters and 10 foreign broadcasters from 4 countries: HAKKA TV, PTS Foundation, and Magichour Film Co. from Taiwan; Vnews and VTV from Vietnam; TVF International from the UK; and TV Miyajaki, TV Aichi, Osaka TV, and JCTV from Japan.
This event began with an introduction of the content which received production support from the KCC, followed by presentations on the current status of the co-productions between Busan MBC and KNN. Representative programs of each participating broadcaster were showcased, and business meetings were held for broadcasters seeking exchanges.
“The KCC looks forward to seeing this event serve as a chance for further co-productions and distribution of excellent content between world-renowned broadcasters,” said the Acting Chairperson in his opening remarks. “The KCC will exert proactive efforts to support the entry of local broadcast content into global markets, as it has done in the past.”
